CONNECTING THROUGH CLOTH

IN-SCHOOL VISITS
Our artist visits aim to raise awareness and expose elementary students to locally grown materials along with the farm to cloth process.

CURRIULUM DESIGN
We offer one time classes or multi-week lessons and curriculum build-outs. Topics vary, but include natural dyeing, weaving, felting, and fashion + surface design.

AFTERSCHOOL CLUB
In Ms. Nica’s art studio at Odyssey School in Asheville Middle and High School students are invited to create cloth that heals together.

A GATHERING IN THE WEEDS
JOIN US THIS FALL FOR HIDE TANNING WITH MEZZALUNA FIBER
Learn to take a raw rabbit hide through the vegetable or bark tanning process to create a durable, garment-quality fur. Everyone will go home with their finished rabbit pelt and the skills to tan more small furs, which often get discarded, yet can make the warmest winter hats and mittens. All ages and experience levels welcome.
Saturdays, October 12 + 19 from 12-3pm
Reach out to hello@fiberhousecollective.com if you qualify for our scholarship, reserved for someone impacted by Helene.
PRIVATE SESSIONS
Group or one-on-one sessions can take place at the Fiberhouse studio, at your home, or at a partner location in Asheville.

FIBERHOUSE RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Through the Fiberhouse Residency we hold space for individuals interested in creating cloth that heals with us on our homestead in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Residents have access to about 20 acres of land to wild harvest and a place to stay while they develop a collaborative project. We support two residents each year - one in the Spring and one in the Fall.
